experts are set to beam their searchlights on the impact of the national
identity card management to national security and economy at the Technology
Times Outlook 2017 business summit holding February 23-24, 2017 in Lagos with
the theme: National Identity Management: Unlocking possibilities for
knowledge-driven Nigeria.
Engineer Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, Director
General /CEO, National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), the nation’s ID
management agency, will deliver the annual technology thought leadership
keynote on the summit theme alongside a panel cutting across banking, market
intelligence, telecommunications, law enforcement, among other sectors of the
economy.
At this year’s summit, leaders in business
and government, innovators, visionaries and frontier thinkers will come
together to share perspectives and insights on the National ID programme of
Nigeria and other key technology initiatives and trends that will either shape,
define or disrupt Nigerian economy in the new year and beyond.
In alliance with partners, the summit will
let attendees benefit from insightful technology thought leaderships on
innovation, productivity and business competitiveness in a changing economic
landscape and enhance their performance goals.
Mr. Shina Badaru, founder of Technology
Times Media Limited and organizer of the event yesterday while announcing plans
for the summit and the unveiling of the official website on
outlook.technologytimes.ng in Lagos said “It brings together the largest
gathering of CEOs, business and government leaders and thought leaders shaping
and defining market trends in the Nigerian and West African technology
ecosystem.”
“We are pleased to announce that
Technology Times Outlook 2017 holding in Lagos will again focus on key
technology solutions changing our lives as Nigeria drives forward its plans to
evolve into a knowledge-driven economy”, Badaru said.
“At the summit, leaders in business and
government, innovators, frontier thinkers and thought leaders will examine how
ID technologies cutting across telephony (SIM Registration); banking (BVN);

debut in 2008, was initiated to create the nation’s frontline technology
thought leadership event where ICT leaders in industry and government annually

that will shape and define the Nigerian economy over the next 12 months and
beyond”, according to Badaru.
He said that there will also be other
tracks by media decision makers, entertainment icons and innovation leaders and
other special attractions at #TTOutlook17, which have always made the summit a

Technology Times Outlook 2017 will also
feature the following tracks: Local Content: Unlocking possibilities for the
Nigerian ICT sector; Analogue-digital broadcasting switch over: The road ahead
for the Nigerian infotainment industry; and the Nigerian media industry in the

National ID enrolment by the National Identity Management Commission while the
event will also feature launch of innovative new tech products into Nigeria
