Ladies Africa and Public Relations Manager at Weber Shandwick, Francesca Onomarie
Uriri, has won the Alima Atta Excellence award at the 2017 Corporate
Communications Awards, the first of its kind award event in Nigeria aimed at
celebrating outstanding achievements in Nigeria’s Corporate Communications
industry.
She was one of the
winners who winners emerged via nominations by Corporate Communications
professionals, public voting as well as deliberations by members of the
Advisory Board and from various industries including the media, academia and
Corporate Communications.
Expressing her excitement
over the award, she said: “I am a PROUD alumna of Sesema PR, and I'll forever
remain indebted to Alima Atta for taking a chance on me 10 years ago, and for
giving me leg room in the PR and Communications industry.”
Winners were presented
with an attractive plaque in recognition of their outstanding achievements in
Corporate Communications at the award event, which brought together eminent
personalities for an evening of fine music, networking and gala.
While congratulating the
winners, Managing Director of Sesema PR, organisers of the CCA, Tampiri
Irimagha-Akemu said: “The CCAs identified and rewarded the very best in
Corporate Communications. The award event will be an annual feature of
Nigeria’s corporate communications industry”.
The award celebrates
successful reputation management and corporate communications campaigns of
organisations in all sectors, whilst acknowledging the different personalities
behind them.
