VDT Unveils 4G LTE Advance Wireless Mobile Internet

VDT Communication, the company which won the 2.3 Ghz spectrum two years ago, has launched its 4G LTE Advance retail broadband internet services promising to set a landmark in internet speed and reliability in the industry.
 
Unveiling the latest retail broadband at a ceremony in Lagos, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Biodun Omoniyi, said that with Bitflux Communications, the consortium name with which it bought the 2.3 Ghz spectrum license,  the company was set to provide VDT 4G LTE Advance wireless mobile internet access to subscribers, starting with those in Lagos, Victoria Island, Ikoyi and Ikeja.
 
While assuring its subscribers of quality customer service, he said that VDT network of centre is manned by a team of courteous service operatives 24/7/365; whose focus is to proactively monitor customers’ data/voice traffic at various remote locations.
 
He explained that VDT had well trained crop of engineers that can be called upon for nationwide support when necessary promising that it will listen,
understand and deliver effective Internet services across the country.
 
Omoniyi disclosed that VDT Communications Limited has enough redundancy and peering with Tier-1 service providers to enable the best possible traffic routing for your data, and that it has sufficient leased capacity on the Main One submarine cable and WASC submarine cable in Nigeria.
 
The chairman of the company, Mr. Yusuf Smith said that the celebration was tagged “Triple Impact Event” because aside from the 15th anniversary, it is meant to interact with its customers and unveil the retail service brand, the VDT 4G LTE Advanced.
 
Reeling out the achievements of VDT Communication in the last 15 years of its existence, he said that its achievements were through focus, hard work, determination and resilience of the board, management and staff of the company. 
 
He said that the company has grown from a single location to currently over 94 Points of Presence across the country, and from a handful of staff, VDT now has over 200 employees.
 
He said: “We have also earned international certifications of ISO 9001 and ISO 20000. VDT is the first telecom company in West and Central Africa to earn ISO 20000 certification for excellent IT service management. These certifications are evidence that VDT embraces global best practices and world class standards in all areas of her management and service delivery to customers. “

VDT Communications has also won several awards in recognition of her sterling performance through the years, the recent awards being the Broadband Company of the Year, 2015 and the Bandwidth Company of the Year, 2016.

 The company’s Managing Director, Biodun Omoniyi has also been honoured with “Man of the Year” and “ICT personality of the Year” awards in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
